    We are planning to implement multi-master replication using Oracle 8.1.7 on Sun and HP servers located across the Atlantic.

    I know ZERO about Replication and after I finish this message, I plan to go scan the manuals but because you guys are like virtual team-members to me, I thought I would check here if anyone of you can suggest some sites/manuals/papers to read that talks about the basic setup.

    Lightbulb mutli-master replication

    Rajeev,

    I have setup a couple of multi-master replications sites. You might want to start at metalink. Type in multi-master replication. I found a couple of setup documentations there. Also a good book to purchase would be "Oracle Distributed System" by Charles Dye. It helped me out a lot.
