    Hello,
Can any one tell me why it is not possible to execute the funtion TO_LOB for loading data from LONG RAW datatype into LOB in oracle version 8.0.5 but it is successfully executed in Oracle version 8i.Is there any alternative method to load the data from LONG RAW to LOB other than SQL loader.
    Thank u

    Hello hrishy,

I tried with the same option i.e.,using insert and select statements with to_lob function but in oracle 8.0.5 it says that invalid column and datatype, since i got this problem as iam going to have a replication and it will not support the long raw.
At destination i want to install oracle 8i the same statements very well executed in oracle 8i.I want to why this not in Oracle 8.0.5.Can u clarify this.
    Regards
