A Telecommunications leader has retained Darwin Partners to provide them with a MetaSolv Developer with strong PL/SQL experience. Our client is migrating data from multiple sources into a MetaSolv database. This data needs to be found, cleansed & migrated into MetaSolv. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a team environment with the opportunity to work both overtime and flex hours. You will be working on developing a more efficient and repeatable method to load data into MetaSolv TBS for current and future migrations by building staging gateways for many types of information: Circuit Inventory, Circuit Hierarchy, Access Trunk Group, and Equipment. You will assist in converting existing Nextel legacy data into the MetaSolv TBS 4.3.1 database. The source systems are Oracle, Excel, and Access databases. You will create scripts for extracting the data from the source databases, create staging tables to clean the data, and then create scripts to load the data into MetaSolv. The target database is Oracle 8.1.6 running on Solaris on a Sun 4500 machine. The MetaSolv database has 850 tables of which the client is currently using about 400 of them. You will need to do systems programming, analysis, and development of integrated solutions using Oracle, PL/SQL. C++ would be a very strong plus to help automate the data movement processes. You will assist in solving complex technical problems in applications and/or operating systems, as well as design and develop interfaces for complex software solutions between various applications. Finally, you will extract data from numerous applications and migrate into TBS and help generate exception reports to identify bad data and perform analysis to assist in the correction of data. The technical environment is Oracle 8.16, Solaris 2.X, Sun 4500, PL/SQL, C++, and MetaSolv.

REQUIRED SKILLS: Metasolv/Data IM; Strong experience writing Unix and PL/SQL scripts to migrate data; Strong data mapping skills; Experience with MetaSolv application.
DESIRED SKILLS: Knowledge of circuits & network elements; C++.
