O8i Installation on WIN 2000

Hi, I've the following problem trying to install each version of Oracle 8i on a P4 1400Mhz PC with WIN 2000:
The welcome page appears succeffully but ben i choose the install option nothing happens! (the oracle installer doesn't appear).
I checked the processes doing so and I saw that the jrew process is killed after few seconds. Why?
This happens with all versions of O8i and all releases (Enterprise, standard or personal).
May anybody help me? What I've to do?
The pc has only the OS installed. No other product for the moment.
Any suggestion is appreciated.

You need a version of Java installing which is compatible with the P4. Search Metalink

OHHHHH thanks brassd!! I didn't know there was a jva problem with P4.Ok I'll search on Metalink however if you can direct me where I canfind the correct Java version I appreciate.

What release of Oracle do you install 8.1.5,8.1.6,8.1.7 !!!
