    what all should be montiored during a RMAN ..both on the server side as well as the database side..Any document on it will be of much use...

    As a DBA what all one should montitored during taking a hot backup using RMAN.Both in the catalog database as well as the target database and as well as in the server side.

    Make sure that the backup jobs got completed successfully. Monitor the logs that had been generated by the backup, then the backup in the catalog db to see it had gone through successfully.
