    DB_BLOCK_SIZE

    Hi tomate,

u can just query the v$parameter and you can find the size of ur DB_BLOCK. (as told by omegamark)

it is correct that u cannot change the DB_BLOCK_SIZE once you created the database and if u wanna change you hv to recreate the database.

but still u can check ur init.ora file.

    Hi,
In Oracle 7.x version the number of columns is 256 whereas in Oracle 8 onwards the number of columns is 1000.
Regarding ur insertion of data u can insert as much data as u can till space is not a constraint on ur machine.
