Hi,
I have a Backup & Recovery question.Can any one tell me which parameter needs to be set to detect BLOCK CORRUPTION in redologs??
Thanks,
Madhu

In the initSID.ora file, set
db_block_checking = true
to check for corrupt blocks in tables, indexes and partitions.
I don't know about checking the redo logs.
Good luck.

Hello, I am currently studying for B & R 8.0, and in response to your question you'll find the following
DB_BLOCK CHECKSUM is used to check for block corruption errors in datafiles (tables, indexes, etc.)
Log_block checksum = true is to check for block corruption in the redo logs.

Hi Rookie,
Thanks. Exam is little tricky. Think twice before you chosse the answer. What I mean is Questions are easy, but the options are such that each one looks like correck choice.
Concentrate more RMAN.
