    Question

    Hi Gurus
    coluld u please answer these question.

    1)What is the purpose of the DESTROY option on import?

    2)What is a Java cartridge?

    3)What is the purpose of the CONCSUB program as it appears below:

    $ CONCSUB apps/aps SYSADMIN 'System Administrator' CONCURRENT FND [ABORT | SHUTDOWN | PROGRAM]

    4)What generally causes garbled output when the Function Security Report is run in character mode?

    5)Why is cross compatibility an issue in Oracle 8?

    Hi Akash,

    I can answer the first question

    By default if you dont use destroy option it is allways N.If you use the parameter destroy in IMP and the values is Y then it will overwrite tablespace data Information else it does not destroy the tablespace data.

    3. concsub is how you submit a program to the concurrent managers for an oracle APPS database.

    4. Your print driver needs work.

    5. Cross compatibility, in general, is not an issue in oracle 8. There may be specific issues across versions, but in general, oracle8 is backwards compatible.
