    Hi, In Oracle8i can a DBA take a tablespace offline while there are active transactions??What are the consequences of taking a tablespace offline in Oracle8i?

    Most of the times oracle wouldn't allow you to take a tablespace which is involved in the active transaction at that instance of time. If you force, you would loose the transaction, i.e it would be rolled back.
