help needed regarding installing D2K on my PC!!!!!!!

i need help for installing D2K software on my Pc in hich already my oracle 8i has been installed on d:/orale81
when i run cd then it ask for path for it's home either default_home(path-c:/orant) after choosing it cd strats executing and after sometimes when it copies net8i client stop executing due to "read error" so
again i tried and change the path name by creating a new folder 'form6i" and again run but same error again occured plzhelp me how do i install it on my pc whether it is compulsory to install on "default_home" location so plz tell me i m not getting it?????i have searched it on google but i did not get it at all so help me
