Hi all
I have a database in Oracle 7.3.4, that is in archive log mode,
if the database don't crash, but i want to recover the database until 1 hour ago (in others worlds, undo the last hour of transaction).
can i do it with recovery command.
example
recover database until time '2001-06-01:13:56:2';

Hi
You can do it as long as you have the archive log files

you will have to restore the old backup (older than the point in time of recovert you need) and then *recover* the database using the archived logs.
You can't go back in time without recovering the database !

Once you do this then you might also want to take the database to the incarnation level by reseting the logs. Be aware, once you reset your logs, then you cannot use the old logs for any recovery.
