Can anyone tell me what the minimum recommended hardware configuration will be for Oracle 9i Enterprise Edition on an Intel machine for NT/2000, Linux and Solaris?

For linux software requirements

JDK 1.1.8 and 1.2.2
XFree86 Development 188.8.131.52 or later
Open Motif 2.1.30
Note: For JDK 1.2.2 on Red Hat 6.0 systems, install the following rpms:
JDK 1.1.8 and 1.2.2
The following table contains hardware requirements for Oracle9i Application Server
linux & solaris
256 MB ram
512 MB swap space
http server requiores 300Mb
databse std edition 2G
enterprise edition 3.25G
CPU pentium PRo
Thanks for that info.
Maybe you should read the question before you give unhelpful answers. I asked what the hardware configuration '....will be...'. Or do you think that Oracle are releasing it next month with no idea what hardware configuration is required???
we should not be harsh with pando oracle9i is not yet released and hence he si justified in his comments.what orcale suggests is just an indicator.dont take what is there in the manuals for granted i know many people here pando also beleive me folks HERE ARE MANY TIMES BETTER THEN ORACLE SUPPORT.
Oracle9i Application Server is not Oracle9i Database, the requirements can be given by a Oracle9i Beta Tester, anyway Beta is only for Solaris and HP, not Linux, nor Windows.
Well I dont know if you meant the application server or the database server?
anyway if it was database I still say itīs not even out yet
if you meant application server you can find these informations on technet.oracle.com
Obviously they know otherwise how the heck are they gonna test? But do you think these informations are public?

Oracle 9i is available for linux.............hp-ux ibm-aix sun solaris and as well as win nt/2000 i am not aware of other platforms...............
Are you sure?? I was under the impression that 9i would only be unleashed in the June 14 2001 Berlin conference.
If it was available, what is the place/URL you got it from.
Life is a journey, not a destination!
Oracle 9i Database Server is still in Beta-test fase, and is only available on Solaris.
You cannot get it from Oracle unless you're a Beta-Test-site.
