    Hi all,

During my export process on Oracle 8.1.6 on Solaris, I get the folowing error :

EXP-00002: error in writing to export file
EXP-00002: error in writing to export file
    EXP-00000: Export terminated unsuccessfully

My script exports the first table correctly(which has around 70 records) and when it comes to the 2nd table, it gives me this. I get the same error no matter what time of the day I try to do it, no matter which location my destination file is.
Does anyone know what may be causing this ? Please help.

    Thanks,
    Shiva.

There are some bugs related to the 8.1.6 export process. You may want to check with oracle support.

    Hi,

Maybe you checked that already, but do you have all the rights to write a file on the file system?
Did you try to write you log to another device?

    cheers

Yes I do have all rights to write to that file system. I was able to do it like a couple of days back. Only from yesterday I am having this problem.

    Hi,

Just a thought : did you check the available disk space ?
or the disc quota available to you as Unix user?
