    Hi,

I installed OEM 8.0.5 on win NT, but I always have to go into server manager to startup the instance. Is there a parameter in the init file that I can set to automatically start Oracle whenever I log-in to Oracle?

    Thanks

    I am confused here.

    1. Oem - The latest version is 2.2 for Oracle 8.1.7
    2. You can use OEM or Server manager to startup an instance.
    3. How can you log into Oracle if Oracle has not been started? The only connections allowed are SYSDBA connections to start the instance.

Do you get me? When the system is rebooted the Oracle service starts up and instance opened but if is not then you have to startup from Server manager.

Go into services on NT and set the database and the listener services to be automatic.
