    Hi


    Could anyone give me book or author name for
    basic and advanced rdbms concept.It should not be related
    with any particular product like oracle or sql.

    You might consider 'Fundamentals of Database System' by Elmasri and Navathe. This is a standard college textbook used at undergrad and graduate levels, and has lots of good information (relational algebra, SQL, storage and performance issues, etc.).

    Hi

    you could also use database system by Korth........as a supplement to above book.

    although ny favorite book has always been Modern databse management by jeferry hoffer and Mcfaddeen.
