Loking for Junior DBA position

Hi, I have recently completed my Oracle 8 DBA certification classes and am really having trouble finding that first job without experience. I'm looking for work in the Washington, D.C metro and MD areas. Although, Im willing to relocate. I'd prefer a permanent position, but I'd take internships, part-time, or any other means of getting my foot in the door.

I have an engineering and MIS degree and worked a year as a Network Engineer. Im a hard worker, Willing to learn, start my Oracle career

Hi there

I am literally in the same boat as you are. I completed an MSc in Business Information Technology in the UK and then went on to pay for myself to undertake the Oracle DBA Fasttrack programme which I completed at the end of March.

It is proving a little difficult to break into the field because everyone seems to be asking for some commercial experience. All I can say is I am not giving up that easily. There is got to be someone out there who is prepared to give us a chance.
