    We did coldbackup and during restart service the conncurent manager service was not automatically started.

    For shutdown

    we used

    shutdown.sql

    connect internal/manager
    shutdown immediate;
    startup restrict;
    shutdown;
    exit;

    stopdb.cmd

    dir f:\oracle\scripts\backup.log >>f:\oracle\scripts\backup.log
    f:\oracle\proddb\8.1.6\BIN\svrmgrl @f:\oracle\scripts\shutdown.sql >>f:\oracle\scripts\backup.log
    rem net stop OracleConcMgrPROD /Y >>f:\oracle\scripts\backup.log
    net stop OracleServicePROD /Y >>f:\oracle\scripts\backup.log
    net stop OraclePROD_HOMETNSListenerPROD /Y >>f:\oracle\scripts\backup.log
    dir f:\oracle\scripts\backup.log >>f:\oracle\scripts\backup.log

    For statup
    startdb.cmd

    dir f:\oracle\scripts\backup.log >>f:\oracle\scripts\backup.log
    net start OracleServicePROD >>f:\oracle\scripts\backup.log
    net start OraclePROD_HOMETNSListenerPROD >>f:\oracle\scripts\backup.log
    rem net start OracleTNSListener80APPS_PROD >>f:\oracle\scripts\backup.log
    net start OracleConcMgrPROD >>f:\oracle\scripts\backup.log
    dir f:\oracle\scripts\backup.log >>f:\oracle\scripts\backup.log

    startdb.sql

    connect internal/manager
    startup pfile=f:\oracle\testdb\8.1.6\database\init.ora;
    exit

    Please help to resolve this issue
    Thanks

    The database has to be up before the concurrent managers can come up, maybe?

    Hi Anandharaj,

    The details are:

    Windows NT SP6A
    Oracle 11i (11.5.3)

    The problem occured when I try to run backup. Probably during shutdown.

    Thanks
