control file size

Hi,

I know that the control file's size is based on MAXLOGFILES, MAXDATAFILES, MAXLOGHISTORY and all the remaining configuration parameters. Can I calcuate the size of the control file based on the above parameters? Is there a way to do that??

Hi,
U cannot calculate the size of the control file,but there is a view which can help u to find out how much information a controlfile can keep.The view name is
v$controlfile_record_section;
The columns RECORDS_TO shows total records kept for the section and column RECORDS_US shows records used by that section.
