Does anyone know if there is a cut-off as to how many columns one can use in a view? I am using Oracle 8.1.5.

    Hi

A view is created on a table on one or more tables so Iam sure there is no cut off as to how many columns one can use in a view

Simple View is created from a single table so Iam sure you can have all the columns and all rows if you need to which are there on the table

Comples view is created from more then one table Iam not sure if there is restriction on the no of columns on this view I personally feel there should not be any restriction

Once we had a table of 265 columns and we were able to create a simple view of all columns in that table.

    Regards
    Santosh
