While doing an export i have this error while specifying direct=y option.

The error says that the server is having different charcterset than the database.If a remove the direct=y then the export goes well.Now i am using the buffer parameter and doing the exports.Now if the export has to be taken with direct=y option what should i do now..

try resetting the NLS_LANG parameter to that of the source database.
