I would like to store info in a date/time field. However, in addition to the date and time, I also need to know what timezone this info is associated with. Is there a way to also store a time zone in a date/time for a field?

    Thanks in advance,
    Matthew

Here are some ideas. You could associate a time zone with a userid. Also, you could set some sort of absolute time zone, e.g. GMT. A time zone should simply be an attribute.

Using an absolute solves another problem that you will encounter if you are working with U.S and European users. Daylight Savings Time is different by one week than DST in Europe.

    Good luck.
