ORA-001555 error

We run Program - Automatic Posting every night (scheduled job). It runs an average of 5 minutes.

This morning we found that a Forms session was blocking this job, and killed that Forms session.
The Automatic Posting job Completed with Error!! We expected the job to finish normally after the locks on GL_JE_BATCHES & GL_JE_HEADRERS were released.

Here is the info. from log file.

Completion Text = SHRD0099: Program terminated with error - please check log file.

Error: Cannot get category name
ORA-01555 snapshot too old: rollback segment number 13 with name "R13

I know that our rollbacks aren't small. IF this jobs kicked off and immediately found locks
on these two tables, shouldn't it just wait and not generate so much rollback info. that this segment fails?
I am puzzled. Please shed some light. Thanks.

Create larger size Rollback segment and run the Job again.
