How do I do a mail merge with fields in an Oracle table and a letter in Microsoft Word? Eventually, this would be put into a trigger, that when certain events happen, the letter(s) would be run automatically with the correct data in the letter.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

first on your client on which MS-word is installed set up a odbc connection to your oracle database .to do this go to
tools--> and then--> mail merge--> new data source ms query would open specify the data source name.
