    Question

    Hi all,
Unfortunetly this might sound like a very basic question, but I'm a developer, not a dba. I'm trying to find out what exactly I need to do to install a small oracle database for testing purposes.

Basically, I'd like to put it on a server that's got windows NT installed, and that also holds a bunch of asp files for an application. What would I need to install in order to put this database on there? Oracle server? If so, can I have other stuff on the same server? Can you install oracle server on windows NT?

Thanks for any help you can provide,
    Annette

Sure you can install Oracle on NT. Mount the CD and run the installer. At some point, it'll ask you for the name of the db want to create.
