do you folks agree this keeping in mind oracle as a DBMS
answer with substantiation would be highly appreciated

I'd say that the implementation of Replication mainly depends on the availability of the db. If it is a mission critical system, then it's a good idea to have it.

but is replication a bad solution for oltp systems like passengar reservation systems or stock markets etc
