I have quite old database in Oracle 7.3 version on SCO Openserver release 5. Now I have to change my OS on Linux Debian, but I don't have any database installation on Linux, and I need any script, programs wich enably me start oracle binaries from my old database on Linux. It's urgent!!!
I think you will need a database install disk from Oracle for the version of Linux you have.
What you are suggesting will be prone to corruption.
i think we cannot copy oracle binaries from one operating system to another operating system . some oracle dll's might be specific to Operating system .
