Win2000 Proff Client 8.1.7 (not)install

Hi ,

I am having problem install Oracle 8.1.7 client on Win2000.

Configuration:
- Pentium4, 1.4GHz, 128SDRAM
- Win2000 Proffesional ( upgraded from Win ME, without disk format, unsuccesfull install of Oracle there before)

When I am running setup it dies without any msg. I've checked registry nothing is there. Click setup -> hourglass -> nothing !

Any idea what's wrong with this state of the art technology please ?

It would have created some installation logs. Check for them

I am having this same problem with a new gateway machine. Did you find a solution yet?

Do you have a novell client installed on the windows 2000 machine
