I have to install ADE for the whole company and i am trying first
to do the standalone install of ADE on my desktop. I am on Windows NT and have configured the 32 bit sql*net , downloaded the latest version of ADE along with latest.zip patch and installed it. I have
changed my ADE.INI file to reflect my apps users and database.
created the shortcut to hrio.exe and have changed the property to run the command in OVERRIDE after changing the ADE.ini however i am
getting a "ADE ERROR 202" "Failed to establish connection details
for given user".
I am able to login to sqlplus using the applsyspub account ,my tnsnames.ora has been configured for the database i am trying to connect , i can get into oracle apps using the sysadmin account thru my browser ...however on getting the hrio login screen and entering the sysadmin user and password i am getting the above error...
can somebody help me on this ......

Check following select:
SQL> select * from fnd_application_servers;
How is the SERVER_ID value set ?
If it's set to 'ON' try updating it to 'OFF' temporarily and try if ADE works standalone now.
