funny alert.log msg when shutting down archival process in ARCHIVED MODE.

hi guys,

I got this interesting msg in ALERT.LOG when performing "alter system archive log stop" :

Tue Jun 24 23:30:02 2003
ARC0: Archival stopped
ARC0: Shutdown aborted (current state is 3)

what does current state 3 means?? anyone can enlighten..i am unable to find any info in oracle website...any info will be appreciated :)
