I want to know the various parameters that has to be considered and the ideal parameter values to arrive at a proper sizing estimation of a database.

You'll never know for sure until you have built the database and loaded it.
For an OLTP system, i would guesstimate somewhere between 2 and 4x the raw data volume
For a DW/DSS system, probably 1.5x to 2x the raw data volume.
I'm sure others have their own rules-of-thumb.
Sizing of the Database:
Consider this facts:
1. Hardware Resources like RAID,Disk space,cpu's,RAM,Networking.
2. Kind of setup opting for ( oltp or batch processing ).
3. Estimate the growth of the database for a peroid of time by
the inputs given by application users.
4. Design the database as per the OFA model.
Think it this way:
If there is a set of ideal parameter value for
all databases, Oracle will/should provide it.
we're not talking about init parameters i think. we're talking about db sizing.
