AMD Athalon/ OUI

Has anyone ever had any problems installing the Oracle client 8.1.6 to a Win98 machine runing on an AMD Athalon 1Ghz.

I've successfully installed this s/w on other machines but the on the AMD machine the OUI reports "Error Writing $ORACLE_HOME\jlib\help-3_1_8.jar"

igonre, abort, retry

retry proceduces the same error
ignore works but the OUI fails later on when trying to run OracleNet8 easy config

The same thing happens when this machine is booted to Windows2000.

Any insight??
