Standby database question.

Just a quickie..

if we grant sysoper to a user in the primary database, will the grant go through to the standby database and appear in the passwordfile on the standby server? Tried it and it doesnt seem to work. Cant do the grant manually on the standby db without activating the db...

Yes the right way of doing it is manually...

It seems be impossible to do GRANT work because the database is opened READ ONLY. It might be a solution to copy the password file to Standby server. Anyone try it?
