catproc.sql error

Dear brothers,

after creating a fresh database manually we have to run Catproc.sql which is use to build PL/SQL Procedures, Packages etc.

but for my database am getting this error.. what could be this error,, anyone please let me know..

tell me bro whats ur system datafile size if is less then autoextend ur datafile by this command
alter database datafile 'path' autoextend on.

datafile 'C:/oracle/product/10.2.0/oradata/iapps/system.dbf' size 50m autoextend on next 2m maxsize 90m



any error in this, its a gradual increment for my local test database,..

as per your advice i have On the autoextend. now its showing

ERROR:
ORA-03114: not connected to ORACLE

use dbca to create your databases as you are clearly doing something wrong

what user are using to run the catproc.sql script? This needs to be SYS.

Also I agree with davey23uk, use dbca to create the database.
:p

thank u brother for u r kind advice using DBCA, but to be a good DBA i must know the manual creation's and all,., is in it,, am not neglecting ur arguments,,,but i must know this solution.

yes,, i am in sys user only,, still having the same result,, am really fed up with this,,

am going to create another new database,, and am requesting u all to give me time to create it once again,,

also post the complete version of Oracle. you just installed the base version binaries or after base version have you applied any patch sets to upgrade...etc

brothers.. i have created another database i successfully ran the catalog.sql file.,, afterwards i randed "catproc.sql" still same error..

ERROR:
ORA-03114: not connected to ORACLE

i have created very correctly by my recorded syntax.. if anyone need i can give the syntax's for check!

- What is the alert log file telling you?
- Are you seeing the error right after the script starts executing, or on the creation of a specific package, procedure, ..
- What are the values of memory related parameters in your pfile/spfile?

Yes am seeing the Error after running that "catproc.sql".,
few lines shows procedure created,, at final that was the error.

here is the memory parameters,
sga_target=200m;
pga_aggregate_target=200m

db_block_size=8192

am using 10g.. so i didn't found any other parameters.

use dbca to create a database, then learn how to do it - we are going round in circles here

I agree with using dbca. And furthermore, if you use dbca there is an option to have the scripts created for you and someone can then either run those scripts manually or just read them to know what they are missing.

But some people are just stubborn... :confused:

If you still don't want to use dbca, in your manual db creation script make sure SYSTEM and SYSAUX table spaces are at least 350 MB size and auto extend on.

Brothers and friends, i have tried in dbca, and its working fine without any error.
now i came to a conclusion..

if am not wrong !
A Manual Creation Database should contain system and sysaux file must above 400MB. this is the best way i found from my scenario.
