will full export dump of a schema overwrite an existing table of the same schema ?

hi,

I have done a full export dump of a schema and this copy was keep as OLD copy. Now when i want to do a full import of the same schema but maintaining certain table with current contents...will my full import of OLD dump affect those table's current contents as in ?

I do not have a spare db to test on this so might need some help from this forum.

you dont need spare database to test, create a dummy user and import a table to that user twice
