I'm looking for a Oracle database monitoring tools. I have two softwares in mind. One is SmartDBA (or Patrol) from BMC Software and the other Spotlight from Quest Software. Does anybody know other tools?

DBArtisan .. Ofcourse I am not doing any marketing for them, And this site is not intended to recommand for ...
If money is not a constraint, go for dbtuner.

I personally like Spolight from Quest for monitoring. I also use DBArtisan for maintenance, etc. It's easier to use than 9i OEM, IMHO.

Okay, I have to defend myself here. I use OEM too. But I have to maintain DB2 dbs as well as Oracle. DBArtisan lets me do both, from one app.Quote:

DB2, I use a miners hat, compass and pick ax for that. Friggin old skool mainframe crap!!

Also, the DB2 dbs I maintain are on Unix, not the mainframe. :) So it's not ALL bad!
