Hi Everyone,
System Solars 64 bit, Oracle 9.1.0.4.0
I'm trying to install some patches. The README file is strange in that on the one hand it tells me to run: "opatch apply", on the other hand it says that opatch is discontinued with a previous version (which is the case on my system) without giving an installation alternative.
Anyone know how to install such patches? No immediate help available on Metalink.

Opatch was availble 'til very recently from Metalink, as I used it to apply a patch on 9.2.0.4 on Windows 2003 (32 bit) about a month ago.
Is it different for Solaris or 64 bit systems?

For which I apologise.
But if you want help on how to install the patch you could be a tad less sarcastic.
opatch is still definitely alive - i just used it on a patch for 9.2.0.5 (had to use the 10g version of it)
Horrible bit of software though
