I will use the Oracle utility DBUA to upgrade Oracle database from 817 to 92060.
1. Is there a check list pre-upgrade?
2. What should be done after upgrade, listener.ora, tnsnames.ora etc.?

dbua is a pretty complete tool for upgrade. In fact, it does most of what you need during an upgrade. You need to take the usual precautions (backup, etc.), but its a very easy upgrade for most databases.
Didn't work for me (see previous thread on the subject), but that might just be our architecture.
With that in mind, make sure you have a comprehensive and validated backup for recovery purposes. Good luck.
When dbua do the backup, where the backup files go? Do I need assign more space for it?
do the backup yourself and don't let dbua do it. This way you can be assured you can recover.Quote:
