bit to bit query ?

Hello,
i would like to execute bit to bit query like this with sqlserver :

SELECT a_int_value ^ b_int_value
FROM bitwise

How can i do with oracle ?
^ and | operators does not exist..

Oracle has operation that can work with bit (RAW) variables.
U should convert ur source variable into RAW datatype and than u may use
bit operations.

For a bitwise AND operation Oracle has a built-in function BITAND(), it has been available since ancient history but it hasn't been documented until 8i. It is used extensively inside oracle's datadictionary views.

For any other types of bitwise operations you'll have to use UTL_RAW package like Shestakov suggested.
