My database (8.1.6) is on Unix (Solaris 5.7) , and I have Oracle client on an NT machine.
My question is this... I am going to use Oracle webDB but want to install it on NT (the NT version of webDB) and have it work against the Solaris database.
When you install it, it puts packages in a schema on a database, will this work if I give it the connect string for the solaris DB?
It's probably a no-brainer question, but I don't want to install WebDB on the Unix machine if I don't have to.
