Oracle back up

I ve created a database using the Oracle Enterprise Console
(Launch standalone). I want to take a back up of the above
mentioned database. How do i do that.
Is it mandatory that i login in the Oracle managemnt server?

Take bacup from the OEM you have to install oracle management server with repository database.Otherwise you have tool exp (export logical backup).You can use this tool to take backup.

I sure did! And I'm showing him how to "fish" according to what PeterK said. I also pointed him to where he could receive the necessary information he needed to solve his problem (at least in a round about way) like you said :D
