I look through the ALTER USER syntax but did not find this:
If I have a DB user called ABC, is there a way to simply change its name from ABC to DEF?
Is it possible?
Thanks,

Probably one of the greatest shortcomings of Oracle is the inability to easily change a username from one name to another. You essentially have to create the new user, figure out a way to "copy" all of the old user's objects, and drop the old user. Export/import is commonly used to do this.
