Hi,
Because I would like to use without any problem more the 2 or 3 GB of RAM I was thinking to migrate from Windows 2003 32bit to Windows 2003 64bit. I would then also migrate from Oracle 10gR2 32bit to Oracle 10gR2 64bit.
Are there any performance impacts when I migrate Windows and Oracle from 32bit to 64bit?
Not with Oracle, but WinDoze (non)performance on either machine is terrible. :p

Too bad..(I just had to put in my little rant).
It would seem obvious that 64 beats 32 anytime, what we have experienced is that more processors+memory = better performance. :D

If you know what you are doing you can squeeze some pretty decent performace out of oracle on a windows box. I'd say that the 64bit will be better that 32 but I couldn't tell you by how much.
oh and more memory doesn't always equal better performace.
