How can I check to see if my db ever run catexp.sql berfore?
any view/table I can querry to verify it?
Do I have to run it again even previous dba might have run it before? (she might not have run it??)

Try to export or import a small table. If it bombs out with an error pointing to the absence of export/import views, then you will need to run it. On the other hand, there would be no harm if you ran it again even though u're not sure.
Check the catexp.sql script itself. It contains a bunch of "CREATE OR REPLACE VIEW..." statements. Check for the existance of any of those views in your database to find out if the catexp.sql was ever run before.Quote:

Not sure about old version. Oracle latest versions(8i) catalog.sql include catexp.sql script.
