do you know what are these Companion and Cluster Ready CDs?
I know what the companion CD is - The stuff they had to take off the first disk to satisfy the marketing that said 10g would all fit on a single disk :-)
It includes...
HTML DB, Apache, Workflow, Native Comp libraries for Java, Java Version
of OEM, Some Text libraries in French etc.
Dont know whats on the cluster CD.
:cool: :cool: i guess dbasupport.com is more faster for any Oracle News than Metalink ;) ;)Quote:

Starting Oracle Universal Installer...
Checking installer requirements...
Checking operating system version: must be redhat-2.1, UnitedLinux-1.0 or redhat-3
Failed <<<<
Exiting Oracle Universal Installer, log for this session can be found at /u01/app/oracle/oraInventory/logs/installActions2004-02-09_09-49-00AM.log
you can try to hack oraparam.ini
[Certified Versions]
Linux=redhat-2.1,UnitedLinux-1.0,redhat-3
you probably need to edit /etc/redhat-release, not sure though and use something like
Red Hat Linux Advanced Server release 2.1AS (Pensacola)
Ah, I don't think it's that simple :-)Quote:
