Help with question

Which of the following commands does not update the control file?
a.Truncate table
b.Recover from cold backup
c.Instance recovery
d.Recover from hot backup

Let me give you a hint, only one of those is a command.

A is right qnswer.

That was a tricky question.. Only A is a valid command..

so A is the right answer..

The concept is somethin like this...the control file stores the physical structure of the database.truncating a table does not change the physical structure and hence the naswer is A.

Exactly correct, I would not count on my hint on the real exam. It just struck me that in this example only one answer was a valid "COMMAND".

I hope you have as much luck on the exam, but I doubt it.
