And be single-handedly responsible for the collapse of the average IQ in this country? I couldn't have that on my conscience.Quote:

As appalling as that stat is, and it is to me, I have to question those surveyed. I HAVE to believe the eleven percent that could not locate the US on a map probably could not locate their native country['s] on a map. As for having difficulty locating any given state, I, again have to believe that those having difficulty could not locate their native country['s] on a map.
All in all though, this does not suprise me, the way the "public education system" has dumbed down the kids in the last 20 years, I'm suprised most, if not all, could wipe their own backside.
When I was young I NOT ONLY had to know AND locate the states, I had to know their capital and I recieived money for correctly naming EVERY capital, none of this "based on a percentage crap"
Though I can not say the same for other countries, I was decent at being able to locate them on a map and know their capital.
No sh*T.
I was in quick Check the other day and the high schooler in there could not figure out how much 3/4 of a pound was on her scale.
Even though I explained that it is .75 she still did not get it.
Basic math,....fuggetabout it, use a calculator.
Let me be first to say ... "future developer"!Quote:

I hate when we agree on things, it just takes the wind out of O.U.
People who can, develop. People who can't get to babysit the database and complain! :D :D :DQuote:
