I know that I can delete or rename the listener.log file if it gets too large, and it will be recreated.
BUT, what if I want to keep that same file and just shrink it, how can I do that ?
Also, where do I limit the size of that file ?
Thanks.

According to oracle suggestions, you wouldn't want to allow the log to grow more that 5M in an OLTP. I don't know how good this is. But I trim them if they were to exceed 100M.

Whebn they grow like 10M, I archive them and stop and start the listener (if you don't do that you will not get the log file at all).
