Hi ! I´m in AIX 4.3.3 and Oracle 7.3.4.5 here. Some db tools , like dbv, are failing, this way :
prod:/oracle/soft/dba_scripts> dbv
exec(): 0509-036 Cannot load program dbv because of the following errors:
0509-150 Dependent module libdce.a(shr.o) could not be loaded.
0509-022 Cannot load module libdce.a(shr.o).
0509-026 System error: A file or directory in the path name does not exi

IMHO it indicates a need to relink the executables. BUT I never done it in AIX. So, I want to know : how to do it ? Some months ago I apllied a patch do put the db from 7.3.4 to 7.3.4.5, if I relink the executables I will lost the upgrade ?

To lose the upgrade you have to deinstall software...so run the relink option of install.
