Indeed Yes
The existing objects (from the primary) remain read-only. The new objects are read-write. ie. u can create a new index on a table that is replicated from the primary. This is one strategy for DSS.

Is this method of replication being used in Production system anyone?....or its a kinda Prototype. Please let me know if anyone of you has used this Logical Standby method of replication successfully.Quote:
