I am running Oracle 8i 817 on my win2000. I couldn't install Oracle forms and reports 6i in the oracle_home I aready had. I readed some relatived threads about this, but still don't know how to do. Should I create a new oracle_home for forms and reports 6i and how to create it?

There are problems getting 8i database and 6i Forms to work together on the same machine. It is best to install Forms first in an Oracle Home, then install the database in a different Oracle Home. For example, Forms could be in C:\Orant and Oracle 8i could be in C:\Orant\Ora817. If you can uninstall Oracle 8i and reinstall Forms first, that is the best choice. I can't say for sure that you can just install Forms now in a separate home. Also there are 2 TNSNAMES.ora files that must be maintained once you have Forms and Oracle 8i installed - one is for Forms and one is for the database so be sure to search for them and make sure they MATCH in describing the location(s) of your database(s).
